DIGITAL PRINT INK OWNER WINS GOLDEN KNIFE AWARD

Steve Counts, Owner of Digital Print Ink, is known for producing award-winning direct mail campaigns, but one in particular has been given national recognition. The Golden Knife Award is given to printers for their innovative and creative marketing ideas that have produced results. Counts was honored with the award for his “Marketing with Crayons” promotion. The owner of Digital Print Ink conducted a lot of psychological research to find out how to get people to respond to direct mail letters.

Essentially, Counts created a direct mail campaign that incorporated a contest that would appeal to one’s nostalgic past. The result was an almost 100% open rate that fostered responses from new and existing customers. The campaign included hand-addressed oversized envelopes in crayon and a box of Crayola crayons inside to spark fond childhood memories. Steve even made a video and posted it on YouTube about the “ins and outs” of his creative direct mail campaign. To hear about the research that went into creating this campaign and how Digital Print Ink turned the data into results, search “Crayola direct mail campaign” on YouTube and watch the 3-part video series, or just follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AX20BEHxQOY

Digital Print Ink has been in business for a third of a century, originally starting as a Kwik Kopy franchise until it was purchased by the current owner, Steve Counts. DPI provides many services to customers, including printing, mailing, promotional products, and designing the perfect documents for their needs. DIGITAL PRINT INK IS AT A NEW LOCATION

DPI has moved its address, but it’s only across the parking lot. Digital Print Ink is still located within the Shamrock Center, and the new address is 3444 S. Campbell in Springfield, Missouri. According to President of DPI, Steve Counts, “the space is designed for more openness and will ultimately help us get everything done faster and more efficiently than we were able to before.”

DIGITAL PRINT INK HELPS TO REBUILD JOPLIN

Digital Print Ink, located in Springfield Missouri, created a special promotion in July to help businesses around the Ozarks and also benefit Joplin tornado victims. DPI vowed to donate 10% of all July proceeds to the Springfield Rotary Club’s Joplin Tornado Relief Fund, which will help the ongoing need for rebuilding the city. A grand total of $1,114 will be donated to the Rotary Club, and Digital Print Ink couldn’t be happier to donate this money to our neighboring city. Thanks to all of DPI’s wonderful customers who purchased printing and mailing services to make this donation possible.

Digital Print Ink is in the Springfield Business Journal - again!

DPI Supports Local High School Program

(Springfield, Mo)…DPI Web TV, a division of Digital Print Ink, recently partnered with Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri to produce a commercial for DPI. High School Seniors Cory Mardquardt and Richard Park filmed the daily business of DPI employees, then condensed their footage into a 30-second TV spot. Kyle Loudis, founder and current director of Kickapoo’s ChiefTV program, said his students are often more proud of this assignment than any other they work on during the year, as, in addition to getting real world experience, it requires the most work and initiative.

Digital Print Ink is a proud supporter of local programs, such as ChiefTV. DPI is a strong supporter of the local community, partnering with non-profit organizations, and is a member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce.  DPI Web TV, its newest division, is designed specifically to help businesses stay ahead of the game, by uploading promotional videos to the internet.

DPI Employee Wins 'Employee of the Week'

WANDA PICTUREOur own bindery specialist Wanda Franco was featured in the Sprinfield Newsleader, as the winner of the paper's 'Employee of the Week'. This is the article:

What does your nominee do? Wanda is in charge of the bindery department. She handles cutting, gluing and other various tasks, leading to finished projects for customers.
What makes your nominee special? Wanda is always friendly and cheerful, no matter how stressed or busy she is. She always keeps a smile on her face and is a blessing to all her co-workers.
Wanda’s tenure at DPI has seen a lot change in the printing industry, most notably in the emergence of Internet business. Still, some aspects of the job never change; she still hand-collates certain jobs, for example. That’s not to say the job is dull, of course: “Every day is different” she said. Wanda tries to “keep a cheerful and positive attitude” at work, something her coworkers (past and present) can certainly attest to. Life “goes by so fast; why waste it being crabby?”
How long has this worker been with your company? Wanda has been with DPI for 25 years this last November.
Additional comments:
Wanda is a Springfield native and has lived here her entire life. Her husband is James Franco; she’s very fond of pointing out that he’s “not the actor.” They met in 1989 and they have been together ever since. She has a son, Shane, and two grandchildren, Austin and Kaitelyn.
